  • Dodgeball

    Friday, November 21, 2008

Ah yes, the 2008 LA Dodge Ball season is over! The finals were held at the Staples Center this year, which made for some fun times. My good friend PJ is on the “Fun Active Gentlemen Society” team and I tried to make it out to every game. The F.A.G.S and they like to be called were the only team in the league with fans that were not afraid to heckle the other team. Every game turned into an exploration to the outer limits of bad taste. The finals wer just as rawkus. Everyone was fired up, but the other team’s fans really let their boys down. Its hard to keep your composure when a section of people in the stands are chanting “YOU SUCK” over and over. Bravo F.A.G.S it was a big year, and I for one can’t wait till next season.

ONE MORE TIME! This Thursday is the last night of my 8 week run at the Mandrake Bar. Twerking it for 3 hours straight is no easy task, but I would like to thank everyone who has come out to support. In in the meantime I will be stacking new vids to drop when I return to Culver City. I hope to see you all here for the big pre-thanksgiving day bash. 9:30 till ? Here is a tase of what to expect.

    Seattle 1

So I just got back from my first trip to Seattle.  I had never been to the Pacific North West until this year, and I was excited to see what Seattle is all about.  When I arrived I mentioned that I was stoked to be in the home town of Grunge Music.  Low and behold the first song I heard on the radio was NIRVANA.  Awesome!  Well kinda, until that night at the club when the DJ dropped three different funky remixes of “Smells like teen spirit”.  I could sense Kurt Cobain rolling in his grave.

Seattle reminds me of San Francisco.  A lot of my favorite graff-celebrities were up all over town.  Kerse pretty much owns Seattle.  His tags were all over the city, I mean like you would look on direction and see 3 tags all over the place and then look and he would be up in 5 spots on the other side of the street.  Right when you leave the Seattle airport there is a huge piece on the free way that says “Welcome to Seattle - Home of King Kerse”.  That link I just posted says the tags are all memorial tags and that one of the vandals was caught while I was in Seattle.  I don’t know how much of that I believe, but Damn those tags were all over the place.  It was nice to see some non-LA graff.  All and all,  I really fell in love with Seattle, and cant wait to get back up there.

These one day road trips are pretty crazy though.  When I got back to town it was time to see my buddy PJ’s dodgeball team play in the finals at the STAPLES CENTER.  Crazy right?  More on that later.
